The Bishop Quarteman Conference Center is a mission outpost of the Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Northwest Texas. The center is dedicated to providing Christian hospitality to all peoples of every age, faith, and background. The 240 acres on which the center is located holds a host of buildings and markers to provide for campers and facilitators both physically and spirtually.
Centered around the Chapel of the Holy spirit, the setting provides a relaxing atmoshpere where nature is at your doorstep. The calm and quiet of the area provide the perfect place to get away from the hassles and stresses of everyday life.
We have three dormitories (Temple, Garrett, and Quarterman from left to right) that together can sleep 120 people. Each dormitory contains a common area, four sleeping areas, and two separate dormitory style restrooms with shower facilities.
Smaller groups can stay in the origional Ranch House, which can accommodate up to 25 people in semi-private rooms with baths. It is equipped with a full kitchen for private dining and a large living room for informal meetings or just conversation. A separate private meeting room is available and can accommodate 15-20 ppeople. The screened in patio is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the landscape.
Meals are served in the Bivins Dining Hall. Our staff perpares and serves each meal while working with you to provide any special needs that you might have. The patio on the back of the dining hall is also available for cook outs and is a favorite for Snack-Time. The Bivins Library is also located in the Dinning Hall. The library is a cozy room with a wood burning fireplace and a beautiful view. It is ideal for smaller meetings and can accommodate 10-12 people.
"Ware?" "That's right". The favorite question and response of campers and counselors at camp Quarterman is for Ware Hall, a large meeting facility that can seat up to 150 people. It is equipped with a sound system, a variety of audio/visual equipment, and coffee service. At anytime of the day you can hear the wild cheering of a fun noodle hocky game, praise and worship songs, or the quiet rustle of pens on paper during arts and crafts.
